Born and raised in central Texas, I was always drawn to exploring and challenging myself creatively.

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and quickly knew I wanted to work in the creative field. I involved myself in art classes and photography throughout school, continuing my love for photographing landscapes and documenting travel today as a hobby. I had the incredible opportunity to travel every summer with my family, road tripping to state parks and national parks across the United States until I graduated from high school.

College

In 2014, I accepted an offer from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, a small city north of Dallas and several hours away from my hometown. I double majored in Business Administration and Spanish and graduated in May 2018 with my Bachelor of Arts degree.

Work

I began my career working as a Marketing Specialist where I designed and created my boss’ web platform from scratch, wrote all copy for a plethora of projects, organized and collected data for their business, and provided project management support throughout my time with their company.

My next position introduced me to the responsibilities of coordinating workshops and large projects, curating digital content and copy for internal and external use, and managing blog posts seen on national levels.

I am currently working as a Copywriter and Designer where I’m utilizing my past experiences, both personal and professional, to dig deeper into the world of print and digital creation and further my career as a writer and designer.

Hobbies

When I was 15 years old, my dad introduced me to the sport of mountain biking. To my surprise, I fell in love with it and was really good at it. I still enjoy mountain biking to this day and am constantly looking for the next place to explore on two wheels.

Any outdoor activity calls my name; I always look for notable hikes and stops when I travel. I have recently begun documenting my travels with my GoPro and have created three personal travel movies so far. Along with documenting my travels through video, I have always had a love for photographing some of the most beautiful scenery that our Earth has to offer; my landscape photography has helped me remember the amazing places I have had the pleasure to visit.

I was clipped into skis at 7 years old and now take great pleasure in carving through fresh snow in the winter seasons.

In addition to the above, I love rock climbing and frequent the climbing gym as well as finding cool routes outdoors.

Travel

I had the incredible opportunity to travel every summer with my family when I was young, road tripping to and camping in state parks and national parks across the United States until I graduated from high school, with several overseas trips to boast.

I knew I wanted more out of my new-found independent life after college; I adopted my German Shepherd, Kenda, two months after graduation and then found myself longing for the travel I had been so fortunate to experience earlier in my life.

I took my first solo trip in October 2018 with Kenda - I packed up my hatchback and drove to New Mexico, then Colorado, then Utah. I mountain biked and hiked every chance I could; it was my first experience traveling alone without the guidance of my family and fueled my desire for more exploration.

Since that trip, I have been lucky to road trip to several more places, just myself and Kenda. Exploring has become a necessity in my life and I firmly believe I would not be the same person had I not had these experiences.
